Annually elected by the membership, the Executive Committee are officers of the association and have primary oversight for the success of BIO Alabama, including developing and maintaining strong communications, initiatives, and partnerships important to the vision and operations of BIO Alabama and its members. The Public Policy Committee reviews and advocates for national and state level legislation important to biotechnology industries and organizations in Alabama. The Committee develops annual legislative recommendations and priorities for the association and leads BIO Alabama advocacy campaigns as needed.
The Events Committee oversees the planning and execution of the BIO Alabama annual meeting, networking receptions, and other events on topics and issues of interest to the organization’s membership, including providing support program/presentation development, speaker/participant recruitment, invite lists, and more.
