Speakers:

Bart Forsyth, Deputy Vice President @Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA)

Bart currently serves as a deputy vice president with the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America. He began his career in Washington as an Attorney Adviser at the Department of Labor. He later served as legal counsel to four House congressional committees: Foreign Affairs, Science, Judiciary, and the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming, the latter of which he was also chief of staff. From 2012-2017, he was the chief of staff to Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner. In this role, he staffed several major legislative efforts, including the USA FREEDOM Act—a bill to institute sweeping intelligence reforms—and the Voting Rights Amendment Act—a modernization of the historic civil rights legislation. More recently, he helped spearhead the Judicial Redress Act, a law that facilitated the sharing of law enforcement information between countries by providing citizens of designated countries access to U.S. courts.

Jamie Gregorian, Senior Director, Federal Government Relations @Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO)

Jamie Gregorian is Senior Director, Federal Government Relations at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). He leads the organization’s lobbying efforts with the majority caucus in the House of Representatives. His work centers on the health portfolio at BIO. At BIO, Jamie has led efforts to pass 21st Century Cures, rein in abusive practices in the 340B program, defeat attempts to weaken intellectual property protections for the industry, and ensure patient access to cutting edge biopharmaceuticals. Most recently, Jamie helped lead a coalition that got 183 Members of Congress to support expanded sites of service for Part B Medicare patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ryan Robichaux, Partner @Bradley

Ryan Robichaux got his start in politics working as a political analyst in the U.S. Senate and the British Parliament. Prior to law school, Ryan served as a legislative aide for Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), where he specialized in agriculture, judiciary, trade and manufacturing policy. Prior to that, Ryan served as a research assistant for Member of Parliament Nigel Waterson of Eastbourne. 


David Stewart, Partner @Bradley

David Stewart got his start in politics working for former United States Senator Jeff Sessions in Washington, D.C. before attending the University of Virginia Law School. After graduating from law school in 2000, David returned home to Birmingham to join Bradley in the firm’s Governmental Affairs Practice Group. He regularly represents clients before the executive and legislative branches in Washington, D.C., and Montgomery, Alabama, and also advises clients on federal and state campaign finance, lobbying and ethics laws.
